Ledley looks for repeat

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Ledley King insists we will have to repeat our attitude at Old Trafford to break our away duck at Bradford City on Saturday.

We go from facing the champions elect to the bottom team in the Premiership when we travel to Valley Parade, but will come up against a club rejuvenated by new boss Jim Jeffries and fighting for survival.

It is well documented that we have yet to win on our travels, but there were positive signs in the toughest test of all against United.

Midfielder King said: “Every game is tough in the Premiership and we’ll have to go to Bradford with the same type of attitude we went to Manchester with.

“Our away form hasn’t been the best but if we can continue with the way we played in the second half at Old Trafford then hopefully it won’t be long before we do get a win away from home.”

King, 20, like Alton Thelwell set for his fourth successive start at Bradford after breaking through against Liverpool, predicted beforehand that United’s midfield quartet would provide the toughest test of his short career so far. He wasn’t let down.

“It was one of the hardest games I’ve had,” said the England Under-21 star. “The pace of the game was fantastic, especially in the first half. They have world-class players and they showed that.

“It took a while to get to grips with things. The second half was a lot better for us and I enjoyed the game.

“It is every kids dream to run out at Old Trafford but once the game started you forget about the crowd. The second half was a better performance. Even though we didn’t win we showed more of what we can do.”
