Ledley backing local healthy living campaign

Ledley King this week appeared in support of Haringey Council’s continued removal of ‘No Ball Games’ signs in the Borough.

The removal of the signs, which often appear on housing estates and in residential areas, is aimed at promoting healthy and active lifestyles in Haringey to combat rising levels of childhood obesity.

Since the initiative began a year ago, 150 signs have been removed in the Borough and the Council are promoting a weekend of sport and activity at venues throughout Haringey coming up in late April.

This week’s removal event at Someford Grove saw Ledley take part in a kick around with local children alongside coaches from the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
