League Cup winners reunited

Steffen Iversen paid a visit back to the Lane this week as part of a documentary being made about his football career.
The Norwegian striker made 177 appearances for the Club, scoring 47 goals, between 1996 and 2003 and was part of the team that lifted the League Cup in 1999.
A young player making his breakthrough at the time was a certain Ledley King, who went on to emulate that success as captain nine years later, and he greeted Steffen during his visit to N17.
A highlight from the pair’s reunion was Steffen’s fond recollection of Ledley’s early attempts at signing an autograph for a fan using block capitals - it’s safe to say the legendary former skipper has had plenty of practice mastering his signature in the years since.
