Last two weeks 'unbelievable' - Ryan

Mon 06 October 2014, 13:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Ryan Mason capped a fortnight to remember with a home debut in the Premier League and victory against Southampton on Sunday.

Almost two years after his last first team appearance, Ryan was thrust back into the limelight as a substitute against Forest in the Capital One Cup at the Lane on September 24.

He responded with his first senior Spurs goal, a 30-yard beauty that sparked our recovery from 1-0 down to a 3-1 win.

That was followed by his Premier League debut in the North London derby at Arsenal last week and now a league debut at the Lane.

“It’s a great feeling. I keep saying it, but the last couple of weeks have been unbelievable for me and it was great to get three points on my home debut,” he said.

“Southampton are flying and it was a massive win for us because we now go into the international week with momentum.

“It also makes last week’s point at Arsenal all the more important.

“It was a good win. We got the goal early and defended well, credit to the team, we stuck together and kept the clean sheet.”
