Lads set for England duty

Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Kyle Walker have been named in the England squad for this month’s matches against Germany and Lithuania.

The Three Lions travel to Germany for a friendly on Wednesday, March 22, before hosting Lithuania at Wembley in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Sunday, March 26.

Midfielder Dele has won 15 senior England caps to date, scoring twice, while Eric has played 14 times for the national team, also scoring twice, including a memorable late winner against Germany in a friendly this time last year. Full-back Kyle has won 22 caps to date.

Meanwhile, Harry Winks has been named in the England Under-21s squad for away matches against Germany (Friday, March 24) and Denmark (Monday, March 27). The midfielder made his first appearance at that level in a 3-2 defeat to France in November.

Midfielder Josh Onomah and full-back Kyle Walker-Peters are included in the England Under-20s squad for matches Portugal, Senegal and France in the latter country over the next fortnight while attacking midfielder Marcus Edwards and goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman have been named in the England Under-19s ranks for their European Championship elite round qualifiers against Norway, Spain and Belarus.

Another attacking midfielder, Samuel Shashoua, joins defenders Japhet Tanganga and Jon Dinzeyi in the England Under-18s group for matches against Qatar and Saudi Arabia while England Under-17s include defender TJ Eyoma and midfielder Tashan Oakley-Boothe among their number for European Championship elite round qualifiers against Czech Republic, Slovenia and Bosnia.
