Lads ready for Schalke test - Harry

Fri 08 August 2014, 17:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane says the lads are determined to put on a good show on their return to the Lane on Saturday.

We take on German side Schalke in a 5.30pm kick-off in our final friendly before the big kick-off in the Premier League at West Ham on Saturday week, August 16.

It’s Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff’s first match in the home dugout after friendlies on Tour against MLS sides Seattle Sounders, Toronto FC and Chicago Fire and last week’s 6-1 win against Celtic in Finland.

Harry has impressed in pre-season and would love to add to his two goals so far.

“We’re back in front of our fans for the first time, we want to put on a good show and impress everyone and then it’s all about West Ham next weekend,” said Harry.

“It will be a tough game. We’ve been building up nicely and this will be another test, probably the toughest we’ve faced this pre-season. We’re looking forward to it.

“I’m sure it will be a competitive game with two teams seeing where they are in pre-season. We’ve been training well, we feel ready and it should be good.

“On a personal level it’s been a good pre-season so far, I’ve played minutes, scored goals and hopefully I’ll get another chance.”
