LADS MARCH TO SAINTS IN FAYC

Alex Inglethorpe has warned our Under-18s that a comfortable win over Southampton earlier in the season will have no bearing on tonight's FA Youth Cup tie.

Alex Inglethorpe has warned our Under-18s that a comfortable win over Southampton earlier in the season will have no bearing on tonight's FA Youth Cup tie.

The lads travel to St Mary's for a third round encounter in the prestigious youth competition kicking-off at 7pm.

Turn the clock back to September and we beat the Saints 6-0 at home in the league – a result Alex insists will mean nothing when the teams step out tonight.

“We want the FA Youth Cup to be a competition where we can showcase the talent we have and playing at St Mary’s will be an invaluable experience," said coach Alex.

“We’ve had good results this season, we’ve been consistent and we played very well against Southampton earlier in the season, winning handsomely. This is a totally different game.

“The FA Youth Cup is a great stage and it would be fantastic to progress in the competition playing the style of football we’re committed to here at Spurs. Progress would mean more experience, bigger games and more exposure.”

Alex reports no injuries. "We've a full squad to chose from," he added.
