Lads determined to bounce back - Hugo

08 October 2013|Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris insists the players will return from this international break determined to bounce back to winning ways at Villa.

Twelve of our senior players have departed to all corners of Europe and the world with internationals scheduled this Friday and Tuesday week, October 15.

Our run of six matches unbeaten - five wins, one draw - came to a halt against West Ham on Sunday, our first home loss this term.

“Sunday was an opportunity for us and it was so disappointing to lose 3-0 at home, in front of our fans,” reflected Hugo, France’s captain, who has a friendly against Australia on Friday before a final World Cup qualifier against Finland next week.

“We had problems creating opportunities to score - sometimes that can happen.

“Maybe the luck wasn’t on our side. We had the opportunity to score the first goal but the goalkeeper made the save. We then conceded from a corner. It was a difficult day for us.

“We now have an international break and we will come back with a determination to get the three points against Villa.”
