Lads determined - Gylfi
18 December 2013|Tottenham Hotspur
Gylfi Sigurdsson is determined to put right two results when we step out for tonight’s Capital One Cup quarter-final against West Ham.
The first is the 3-0 home loss against the Hammers in the Premier League in October and the second, much more recent in the memory, Sunday’s 5-0 reverse against Liverpool.
“We lost the last game against West Ham, our local rivals and obviously we want to put right what happened against Liverpool as well,” said Gylfi.
“The last time we played West Ham we lost 3-0 and that can’t happen again – it wouldn’t matter who we were playing.
“This is also the last eight of the League Cup and we’re two rounds from Wembley, so that’s something all the players want to achieve. We want to win this game.
“It’s massive for us. We all want to win something and when you look back at your career, you want to have those memories. That’s important to everyone who plays football, not just here at Tottenham. It’s a while since we won a trophy and we all want to change that.”
