Ladies update

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Greater London Women's Regional League, Reserve Division One

Score: 3-3
Scorers: Sarah McEachern, Kelly Herrett and Lucy Palmer

Despite an early period of pressure from Spurs where a number of chances were squandered, Charlton took the lead on 18 minutes. We drew level on 40 minutes when player of the match Sarah McEachern slammed home her first goal for the club with a rebound off the goalkeeper following a shot from Lucy Palmer.

The first 25 minutes of the second half was a closely contested affair until Charlton made two substitutions, bringing on players from their first team group. The home side then began to dominate and soon moved into a 3-1 lead.

The advantage was maintained until five minutes from time when centre-back Kelly Herrett scored her first goal for the club with a 20 yard shot over the keeper following a clearance from a corner.

From the re-start we immediately pushed forward and were rewarded when a shot from Selina Brigitte was parried by the keeper and Lucy Palmer was on hand to slot the ball into the empty net to complete a come back from a two-goal deficit for the second week running.

Manager Sandra Brown was justifiably pleased with the fight back in a match where young goalkeeper Claire Bloomfield stepped up from the Under-15's to make her senior debut and made several fine saves.

TEAM: Bloomfield, Tsou, S. Brigitte, Daniells, Herrett, Jones, Curtis, McEachern, Palmer, C. Brigitte, Nain.

The Under 13's produced their best result of the season with an 8-0 victory over Harpenden Colts Girls in the Hertfordshire Girls league. The scorers were Chloe Lawrence and Kerry Boyce, who both recorded a hat-trick, Lauren Smart and a 25-yard thunderbolt from Sharlene Calliste.
