An away trip to Ipswich Town on the opening day saw the team come back from 1-0 down to secure a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from new signings Vanessa Storey and Emma Kayser.

High-flying Gillingham - who have scored 37 goals in four games - were held to a respectable 3-1 defeat.

Ebbsfleet United were the visitors to Broxbourne Borough FC as THLFC fell behind to a first half goal before battling back well, hitting the woodwork twice before Storey scored a headed goal from a rebound to earn a point.

The next game ended 1-1 as well, with Tottenham holding local rivals Enfield Town to a home draw.

Cambridge City U15s 1
Tottenham Hotspur Ladies U15s 1

A friendly meeting between teams who won their own league and cup double last season ended with honours even as Spurs Ladies Under-15s visited their counterparts of Cambridge City.

An open game gave Spurs the chance to field four new summer signings and the team slipped into a familiar groove as they attacked smoothly and defended with strength. Although both sides stopped any scoring chances in the first half, City took the lead with 15 minutes left, when a striker created room to shoot past the Tottenham keeper.

The Spurs team keep playing their game and two new girls combined, with Megan Oates setting up Sam Delves to fire home an equaliser. Both sides pushed for the winner, but had to be satisfied with a draw.

Squad: Lily Tyrimos, Saskia Collins, Vicki Blake, Hollie Watson (c), Clara Littlechild, Lydia Maher, Katie Fray, Sam Delves, Megan Oates, Sarah Brennan, Charlotte McLucas, Sophie Gardiner, Bobbi Cubberley, Shoshana Field, Blerta Berisha.

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies Thirds 4

The Spurs Ladies Third team, who were formed over the summer, produced a very good performance to keep a clean sheet and hit four goals against LNER in the Greater London Regional Women's Football League Division 3 North.

A young team, with some players with first team experience, put in an impressive first appearance at this level, with a goal a couple of minutes from half-time when Ruby Marlow converted a through ball.

After settling into their roles, Kate Wilson smashed home the ball to round off a flowing move for 2-0 and then Becky Shephard and a second from Marlow earned the team, encouragingly lead by skipper Geena Gordon, to a fine first victory for the young ladies.

Team: Chelsea Spurrier, Marit Undheim, Stephanie Le, Katie Wilson, Paris James, Clare Singh, Geena Gordon, Aimee Rose (Eleanda Taladianou), Charlotte Copeland (Chloe Kraemer), Becky Shephard, Ruby Marlow.

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies Reserves 1
Hackney Women 2

A reshaped Spurs Reserves side started their first campaign in the Greater London Regional Women's Football League Division 1 with a narrow 1-2 defeat by an experienced Hackney Women's side.

An opportunist goal for Hackney, when they seized on a loose ball to hit the net gave the visitors the lead, but Spurs were playing some decent football and soon after the second half kicked off, Tottenham equalised with Natasha Ademakinwa calmly stroked the ball past the keeper.

However, with confidence flowing through the team, conceding a soft goal let Hackney Women return home with all three points.

Team: Fiona Butterfield, Dom Clarke, Leesa Shields, Jenny Curtis, Kerry Daniells, Charlie Archer, Fran Hussey, Beth Richards (Sam O'Brien), Laura Gardiner, Chelsea Orridge-Golding (Carly Williams), Natasha Ademakinwa. Unused subs: Dee Gilbert, Amanda O'Neill.
