Ladies ready to refocus
26 March 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs Ladies have made history already - but in many ways, the season is just starting for Karen Hills and her squad.
The team hit new heights by reaching a third cup final of the season last weekend.
With the Ryman Cup Final (April 14) and Capital Cup Final (April 27) already in the bag, Spurs toppled in-form Nottingham Forest to reach the final of the FA Women's Premier League Cup.
They will play either Blackburn or Cardiff City in the final on May 8 - that semi-final is scheduled for this Sunday (March 27).
"It's a fantastic achievement, but now we want to bring silverware back to the club," said manager Karen.
"To reach three cup finals in a season says everything about the drive and determination of this group of players and now we all refocus on the remaining league games and winning these finals.
"The expectation is there now but there is a belief in the squad that we can go out there and do it.
"The key thing now though is to perform well against Lewes in the league on Sunday and continue the momentum. We don't want things to fall flat in the league. That's important as well."
Spurs Ladies take on Lewes in the FAWPL at Cheshunt FC tomorrow (Sunday, March 27) - kick-off 2pm.
