It was a mixed week for the Spurs Ladies as they played two games in the space of five days.

On Wednesday, the team picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Gillingham at Broxbourne Borough FC.

Despite going into half-time a goal down, second half goals from Gill Blackmore and Alex Small earned a deserved three points.

But the girls were brought back down to earth with a bump on Sunday as they were well beaten 10-2 at home by Wellingborough Diamonds.

The reserve side, however, are still unbeaten in their league after a 7-0 home win over Garston at the weekend to add to their two draws.

Dee Gilbert, Fiona Butterfield and Katie Taylor (pictured) all helped themselves to two goals each before Fran Hussey rounded off the goalscoring.

There were further impressive results among the youth sides, with Garston's Under-14 side also being put to the sword by their Spurs counterparts, who ran out 10-0 winners.

More solid performances earned victories for the Under-15, Under-12, Under-11 and Under-10 Whites sides.
