Kyle's thumbs-up after Under-21s' season opener

Kyle Walker-Peters said it was a job well done after our Under-21s kicked off their 2015-16 campaign with a resounding win over Everton.
A first half brace from the lively Alex Pritchard was added to by goals from Nathan Oduwa and Shaq Coulthirst as we secured a 4-1 victory at the Training Centre.
Full-back Kyle was pleased with the way we controlled the Barclays Under-21 Premier League contest and felt we were deserved winners on the day.
“I thought we played well, especially in the first half,” said the 18-year-old. “We took our chances well, Alex Pritchard – the free-kick specialist – took his goals well and we defended solidly, apart from one counter-attack. We’ll take a look at that and learn from it.
“Also, we’ve got some good midfielders and they are good at keeping things tight and playing around people. We also kept the pitch big, which meant Everton had to do a lot of running.”
With an away trip to Manchester City coming up on Friday, Kyle highlighted the importance of getting off to a winning start to the new season.
“The three points are important for us,” he added. “We focus on winning, we want to emulate the first team and to do that we need to be the best Under-21s team.”
