Kyle's goal-den ticket

Kyle Walker bought his ticket - and struck gold in the North London derby on Sunday.

Kyle Walker bought his ticket - and struck gold in the North London derby on Sunday.

The full-back hit a memorable winner against Arsenal at White Hart Lane as we made it four-successive victories in the Premier League.

Kyle latched onto the loose ball from Luka Modric's blocked shot some 35 yards from goal and unleashed a thunderbolt that flew past Wojceich Szczesny to make it 2-1 in the 73rd minute.

Rafa van der Vaart opened the scoring in the first half and Aaron Ramsey levelled for the Gunners in the 52nd minute before Kyle's match-winner.

"It's a great feeling, my first North London derby and hopefully there will be many more derbies and goals to come," said Kyle.

"I got there first, took a touch and just thought 'if you don't buy a lottery ticket, you can't win', so just have a go and hit it.

"It was great to see it fly in.

"It's a team game though, not just about my goal and we worked hard as a team for 95 minutes to get the result we wanted."

Kyle had praise for our defensive unit and Scott Parker's work-rate in central midfield.

"Arsenal will always keep the ball well and keep possession," he added. "We had to stay fully concentrated at the back which I thought we did, Ledley and Younes were superb, they talked to me throughout and Scott Parker broke up a lot of play.

"All in all, I thought it was well deserved."

Kyle and Scott now join up with the England squad for Friday's final Euro 2012 qualifier in Montenegro.
