The significance of Sunday’s clash with Everton at White Hart Lane is not lost on Kyle Walker.
Our marauding right-back, who could make his 100th Premier League appearance for us this weekend, admitted that beating teams in and around the upper echelons of the table is vital if we’re to reach the promised land of the Champions League.
And with the Toffees just one point and one place ahead of us in fifth position, Kyle is determined to see us emerge with three points from Sunday afternoon’s clash.
“Obviously last weekend we went to Hull and dropped points, so we need to improve against Everton,” he explained.
“They will be right up there at the end of the season and that has been our downfall this term, we haven’t been beating the teams around us.
“Everton are no pushovers, they have some quality players and it will be a good game.
“But we’re at home, we’ll have the crowd behind us and we’re going into it in confident mood. If we play to our potential, why can’t we pick up the right result?”
