Kyle Walker knows both teams want maximum points for differing reasons as we get set to host Crystal Palace today.
The Eagles, resurgent under manager Tony Pulis, are targeting survival in their first season back in the top flight, while our own aspirations of securing a place among the European elite makes league points a distinct priority.
With that in mind, both sides will naturally be going in for the kill when we meet at White Hart Lane this afternoon – but right-back Kyle believes we’re capable of getting the job done if we show a similar level of spirit and endeavour to that which saw us claim a 2-1 win at Manchester United in our last domestic outing.
Asked whether we’ll take maximum points this weekend, Kyle simply responded: “You’d like to think so.”
He continued: “Crystal Palace are fighting to stay in the league and we’re fighting for the top four so we’ve both got something to play for.
“We need to show a bit of character like we did at Manchester United and go and get the three points that we need.”
