Kneesy does it

Paul Robinson is pleased to report good progress on his knee injury. England’s number one suffered ligament damage in his right knee after a 50-50 challenge with Aston Villa’s Darius Vassell on May 1.
The injury ruled him out of the last two games of the season — ending his hopes of an ever-present season in the Premier League — our brief end of season tour of Mauritius and England’s friendlies in the USA.
"It's coming along well and I'm where I should be at this stage," said Robbo, who broke off his holiday for a week's treatment at Spurs Lodge earlier in the month.
"Obviously, anyone who knows me will know I'd rather be be ahead of schedule but it was quite a bad injury and I have to be patient.
"The brace has been off for a while, I'm walking comfortably and I've been doing plenty of strengthening work.
"I hope to be running soon and with pre-season just around the corner, there won't be a shortage of that when I'm ready! Overall it's coming along well and I'm very happy with it."
Robbo revealed that limping off against Villa was a career first. “I’ve never had an injury keep me out of a football match.
“I was only telling Hans (Segers) the other week that I once had an operation on my finger at Leeds but I was on the bench at the time. As long as I could have stood up I wouldn’t have come off the pitch but I was struggling to do that. It was so frustrating.”
