Kids delight Jimmy
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Jimmy Neighbour is delighted with how his Under-17s have responded to their Hammer blow earlier this month.
The youngsters lost their unbeaten record in the FA Premier Academy League with a 4-1 defeat on a Friday to forget a fortnight ago but hit the winning trail again at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Lee Barnard swivelled to shoot home the first goal in the first half. Palace levelled but David Galbraith set up John Sutton to restore the lead after 70 minutes before clinching the victory himself with a fine solo effort in the last minute.
Boss Jimmy said: “We played very well. The lads are doing okay. We’ve had one hiccup at West Ham, we were very disappointing that night, but overall I’m pleased with how things are going.
“The important thing is they have reacted well to that defeat. They are a bit of a Jeckyl and Hyde side at the moment — which will always be the case at this level — and we’re now looking for more consistency.
“They’ve shown a good attitude though and a good team spirit. They like each other’s company and that’s important.”
