Kelly eyes change of luck
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Stephen Kelly is back for Saturday's FA Cup tie against Brighton - with his fingers crossed for a change of fortune on the injury front.
The Irish defender admits this season has been a bit of a nightmare.
His miserable run started in pre-season, when he damaged ankle ligaments throwing himself into a tackle at Sheffield United in July.
He finally returned to first team action in November but ended up with concussion and a broken thumb after a fine display against Burnley.
That accounted for another month out but wasn't the end of his ill fortune - after impressing in the win at Blackburn Rovers, 'Steo' damaged his knee at Manchester City on December 11.
Almost a month later and he's back. "Yes, it's been a strange season for me," said the ever-smiling Stephen back at Spurs Lodge.
"Every time I get a chance in the team and do well I get injured. I went in against Burnley I got concussed came back against Blackburn then got injured at City.
"I just went in for a slide tackle against City, felt a pop in my knee and it was sore straight away but I played on and in the morning it felt really sore and stiff.
"I came in and I'd damaged the medial ligament, just a little strain but it's lasted longer than I expected.
"Hopefully now the New Year's in I'll keep fit and if I get a chance, try to stay in.
"There have been a lot of games, more coming up, people will get tired so when I come back I might get a chance. I suppose I'm due a change of luck now!"
