Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Marton Fulop is next in the spotlight as coach Hans Segers runs the rule over our goalkeepers' performances and progress last season.
Signed from MTK Hungaria last summer, Marton came on leaps and bounds from the raw youngster Hans first worked with in our July training camp in Sweden.
If proof of that were needed, Marton excelled in a loan spell at Chesterfield in League One - seven games that included his Football League debut - before capping his season with a first senior appearance for Hungary as a second half substitute against France in May.
The 22-year-old was also on the bench as Paul Robinson's deputy 14 times and another two as cover for Radek Cerny following Robbo's injury at the end of the season.
"When we started working last summer we had to change a few things especially on the technical side," reflected Hans. "We looked at his positional play and his decision making and both are much better.
"I watched the games and he was outstanding for Chesterfield. They love him there! He’s quite a hero because he’s not afraid to come out and collect crosses.
"It just shows what a difference it makes for a goalkeeper when you play week in, week out. That’s when you learn most.
"It doesn’t make any difference whether it’s the Conference, League One or League Two. You have to make decisions and that’s when you will improve.
"A year down the line and Marton’s come a long way and being involved with the Hungarian squad is the icing on the cake.
"He took everything on board and has gone from strength to strength - a rough diamond that needed polishing. In a couple of years time we could have a real gem."
