Keane to get going again

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Robbie Keane suspects that one goal could open the floodgates after the frustration of five games without a goal.

The team has suffered a five-game sequence without one of our players finding the net, which has led to three one-goal defeats and a 3-0 loss to Manchester United.

A win in this period came against Newcastle United at the Lane, where an own-goal settled the contest.

Before the two and a half week break inbetween fixtures, a staggering 15 goals were scored in four games with 13 going in at the other end. Robbie insists that the goalless run has and will not dampen the confidence of the front-runners and it is just a case of getting that elusive goal.

"It's like everything else - these things happen in football sometimes," he reflected before setting off for the Good Friday encounter at Everton. "For the strikers it has dried up a bit but I think, if we get a goal, a lot more will follow. I'm sure that if myself, Jermain and Fredi get the one we will kick on from there.

"As I said, it happens during a season and it is about how you cope with it yourself. If you let it affect you you've got no chance. I know myself and the other boys won't let it affect us.

"We haven't had that many clear chances, I had one against Southampton where I should have done better, but you couldn't count a lot of chances that we've had and missed. It is the way it goes, we haven't been playing bad of late and with one good result the rest will follow."

Robbie added that, even with the recent setbacks, a strong finish to the season is still possible should positive results be achieved over Easter.

"If we get a couple of wins we are back into it again - it is the way the league has gone this year. Over the Easter period, if we get a couple of good results and others go for us, we will climb up again.

"If we keep working hard I'm sure our luck is going to change soon. Hopefully sooner rather than later."
