Kasey on eventful day
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Kasey Keller had an eventful game against Birmingham City on Saturday - good saves, a bash on the head, another penalty and a direct assist for the winning goal.
The USA international, however, makes it sound like just another day at the office - the most important factor being the winning of three precious points.
"It was strange, but winning the game was key," reflected the goalkeeper. It was nice after three losses to see one out.
"It was nice, especially after Gus gave away the penalty, for him to come back and score the goal.
"We've been waiting for something like that to happen in the last few games, that little bit at the end of a match that goes our way and it was nice to have it happen."
Shortly before Birmingham's penalty leveller, Kasey was grounded following a collision - not noticed by the referee - and a goalmouth scramble followed. He was not quite certain of the sequence of events.
"I don't know... It looked like, on the tape, that it was Ledley who swung an arm and caught me behind the ear.
"I was a little bit surprised, although only when I saw it later, that play continued as long as it did. The referee apologised later and said he didn't see me, but at least we scrambled it away and it was nice that we were able to go on from there."
Kasey did admit that the feeling of 'here we go again' did surface slightly when Birmingham were awarded the spotkick and was grateful that fortune favoured the Spurs in the end.
"A little bit, but you don't worry too much about it, just keep on fighting and see what happens - fortunately it happened."
