Kasey makes his point
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Kasey Keller insists the team will keep on fighting for points as we enter the business end of the season.
There are 11 games remaining - the next being Newcastle United - and the Magpies are one of a few intriguing home games to come before the Premiership campaign draws to a close.
Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Blackburn have still to visit N17 in the league, while we have a trilogy of trips to the north west to complete, with Manchester United, Everton and Bolton to come on our travels.
Our last away game ended in disappointment up at Middlesbrough, but there is little time to dwell on the single goal defeat at the Riverside on Tuesday with Champions League chasing Newcastle looming on Sunday.
"It's nice that it is on Sunday so it gives us time to prepare pretty much as normal," reasoned Kasey. "Apart from the games over Easter it is pretty much just a weekend run-in.
"We will just keep going, keep fighting for points and we've got some good home games coming up. Obviously the fans will want us to be the team that beats Arsenal and we've got Newcastle and Chelsea - good games for us.
"It is vital we continue to pick up points and then we will be fine. After the roller coaster season we've had we still have a chance, we can still look forward while keeping a watch behind."
Meanwhile, Kasey did see the irony behind his penalty save at the Riverside. He has faced a good few spotkicks since arriving at the club with his only saves coming against Middlesbrough.
He saved Malcolm Christie's effort towards the end of last season, but the striker netted the rebound, while his other stop came against Gaizka Mendieta in the shoot-out following the Carling Cup draw this season. He now adds Massimo Maccarone to his list, but disputes the award of a penalty for Dean Richards' challenge on Joseph Desire Job..
"My penalty record is interesting!" he smiled.
"Dean won the ball, definitely. I was able to make the save and it would have been unfair had they scored."
