Kasey banks on home comforts
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Kasey Keller has lamented our luck on the fixture front as we next face a Liverpool side buoyed by their Worthington Cup triumph - but believes our home record can see us through.
The Reds toppled great rivals Manchester United at the Millennium Stadium on Sunday after marching through to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup three days earlier.
All of a sudden their recent poor form appears to have gone out of the window and the talk now at Anfield is of a charge to the Champions League, rather than scrambling for form in the Premiership.
It's a far cry from another winter of discontent in the league and typical of our luck of late having recently faced a rejuvenated Fulham and West Ham.
Kasey pointed out: "When we played Liverpool at Anfield they were top of the league and every bounce was going for them.
"We got back into the game at 1-1 and then they got a late penalty - that was how it was going for them at that time.
"They then go through a bad spell and now we're catching them coming off a cup final victory.
"But look at it last season, they had everything to play for yet we came up with the performance and three points at home.
"We've got a good home record and we'll keep banking on that."
Kasey added that there should be positive team news around the corner.
"We'll soon get Robbie back, Christian is training again, Jamie is close and he was a big influence earlier in the season," he said.
"The guys are hanging in there. Deano has been the unluckiest man on the planet. He gets an Achilles, then a kick on the knee, then his back and he can't train as he wants to but he's out there fighting every week. It's a fight and we're doing the best we can."
