Kane does it again!

Tue 09 September 2014, 22:10|Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane scored his second goal for England Under-21s in the space of a week on Tuesday - with a little help from Spurs team-mate Tom Carroll.

Fresh from heading home the winner in Lithuania last Friday, the in-form striker drilled home the Young Lions' third and final goal in a convincing 3-0 win against Moldova played at FC Sheriff - our opponents in the group stage of the Europa League last season.

Harry exchanged passes with Tom, currently on loan at Swansea, before firing into the far corner. Tom took the honour of captaining the team on the night.

Harry also set-up West Brom striker Saidi Berahino's second goal as England completed Group One with nine wins and a draw in 10 matches. Alex Pritchard, currently on loan at Brentford, came off the bench to earn his second Under-21 cap.

England now progress to the play-offs and seven winning teams will join hosts Czech Republic in the finals next summer.

Milos Veljkovic played 90 minutes as Serbia toppled Northern Ireland 4-1 in Portadown in Euro U21 qualifying action. Aaron McEneff was an unused substitute for the hosts.

Meanwhile, Ben Davies played 90 minutes as Wales came from 1-0 down to avoid a shock against Andorra. Gareth Bale struck twice to turn it around, the first a header on 22 minutes, the winner a trademark free-kick just eight minutes from time.

The final round of international matches in this break take place on Wednesday and the focus for our players is the African Cup of Nations qualifying as Emmanuel Adebayor and Togo take on Ghana while Nabil Bentaleb and Algeria face Mali.
