Juniors chase Spurs Lodge silverware this weekend
Over 100 Junior teams will arrive at Spurs Lodge this weekend from around the UK, plus Denmark and Ireland, for our summer football tournament.
Junior Football Teams are getting ready for an exciting weekend of tournament action this weekend at Spurs Lodge.
The Pat Staunton Hotspur Cup, is Spurs very own Junior summer football tournament, and takes place this Saturday and Sunday, 8-9 June, at Spurs Lodge in Chigwell.
The event first took place in 2007, and is now held on the same first class grass pitches that until recently were used by the First Team squad. Junior teams will get to experience playing on the immaculate surfaces that over the years have been graced by the likes of Hoddle, Klinsmann and Lineker, to name but a few.
The tournament is being organised by the FA and UEFA-qualified coaches from Tottenham Hotspur's Global Coaching programmes team. Teams aged from Under-8 to Under-13 from around the country will be coming along to take part, and we are pleased to welcome the U-8’s of B.1901 Denmark FC who will be travelling from Scandanavia to be with us.
The tournament features Group and Knockout matches, building up to a series of final games for silverware on our special ‘Finals’ pitch.
Players will also get to sample the Tottenham Hotspur Experience. This includes our popular football inflatables which test players’ skills, a chance to pose for photos with Chirpy the Club mascot, Spurs retail outlets, competitions and prizes to be won, plus more surprises on the day!
As an additional bonus, we also hope to be welcoming a special guest to present the trophy and winners medals to the victorious teams.
