Joy to watch - Harry

Harry Redknapp was full of praise for our first half performance in Sunday's 3-1 win against QPR.

Harry Redknapp was full of praise for our first half performance in Sunday's 3-1 win against QPR.

The lads were in irrestible form in that first 45 minutes at the Lane and the only mystery was how the scoreline was only 2-0 in our favour at half-time.

Gareth Bale and Rafa van der Vaart scored the goals but it could have been many more as Paddy Kenny saved well from both goalscorers, Emmanuel Adebayor headed wide from close range and Luka Modric volleyed inches wide.

As you'd expect from a Neil Warnock team, QPR looked a different side in the second half, reduced the deficit to 2-1 just after the hour and would have felt back in the game when Gareth struck a wonderful third goal to secure our sixth win in our last seven Premier League outings.

"We were fantastic in the first half," said Harry.

"I thought it was unbelievable how we moved the ball, the movement off the ball, the passing, everything about it was superb.

"We could have come in at half-time four, five up. That would have been a fair reflection of the play.

"They changed at half-time, obviously knew they had to do better, got the goal back and then it became difficult until Gareth popped up with the third goal to finish them off.

"At 2-0, the next goal is all-important - 3-0 and it’s game over, 2-1 and it's game on. The goal must have given them a massive lift.

"They got the goal and that changes attitudes, they were back in the game. We still had loads of chances, the keeper made some great saves and even in the second half Adebayor, Gareth, we had chances going begging.

"But the first half was fantastic. That’s how I like to see the game played.

"I think we’re a real joy to watch. I love the way we pass the ball, the way we move the ball, the movement off the ball is first-class, the options. We’ve got some smashing players, I’m just pleased to be part of it."
