Josh up for the cup

Josh Onomah described his first start in the FA Cup as a ‘proud moment’ – and he’s determined to experience more of the famous competition this season.
The young midfielder made his first senior start for the club against Monaco in December and a month later, returned to the line-up for our third round tie against Leicester at the Lane.
It ended 2-2 on that occasion - and now we face the Foxes for the third time in 10 days in the replay at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday night (7.45pm).
“That first start in the FA Cup was a proud moment for both myself and my family,” said Josh, who made his Spurs debut in the FA Cup off the bench against Burnley last season.
“I remember going to Wembley and watching us win the League Cup in 2008 and that day showed me what it meant to get to finals and win trophies.
“We’ve positive momentum after the win against Sunderland and we’re looking to take that into the replay at Leicester.”
Great bounce back performance at the lane! Fans were amazing! Now on to the Fa Cup ⚽️. #coys— Joshua Onomah (@Joshuaonomah10) January 16, 2016
The high-flying Foxes have showed us what they are all about in that 2-2 draw and , four days later, a 1-0 win in the Premier League at the Lane – organised, resolute and a constant threat on the counter-attack.
“Leicester defend so well as a team,” said Josh, who came off the bench in Saturday’s 4-1 win against Sunderland. “They have players who work hard, players with experience and you have to find a solution to break them down.”
