In the latest in a series of features celebrating a decade of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, we meet Josh, who was helped into a job by the Pathways to Employment programme.
The project aims to provide young people with a range of learning and physical disabilities with the skills needed to be able to gain employment.
Josh, from Walthamstow, has autism and often faced challenges when applying for jobs before the Club intervened and helped set him up with a job in the radiology department at Whipps Cross Hospital.
He said: “It’s extraordinary that Spurs put on programmes like this – they’ve been really supportive and opened up a lot of opportunities for me. Pathways to Employment has changed my life – when I first started I was really shy but it has brought the confidence out of me.”
