Jol's seventh heaven
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
A delighted Martin Jol saw Sunday's 5-1 win against Aston Villa as one of our best displays of the season.
Fredi Kanoute led the way with two goals with a close-range effort Ledley King putting us 3-0 up in the first half.
Villa levelled just before the break via a debatable penalty and were the better side at the start of the second half before Andy Reid lashed our fourth off the underside of the crossbar from 30 yards to end it as a contest.
We still had further chances before Stephen Kelly added a fifth in the last minute.
Head Coach Martin beamed afterwards: "We had some outstanding players out there and it was a terrific result.
"You shouldn't forget that we had terrific performances against Everton, where we played ever so well and Southampton, when we also scored five goals.
"This is the third time we've scored five goals and there is only one team that has scored more goals at home in the Premiership, so that's a pleasing thing.
"There was a lot of tension out there because we know Aston Villa are a very good football team and they've done well lately, just think of the score at Newcastle.
"We had a lot of desire and were 3-0 up, they had a penalty decision for 3-1 and they are a very good footballing side and came back at us after half-time. We had an indifferent spell then but then scored the fourth goal, a crucial moment. We needed that and Andy Reid scored a terrific goal.
"You don't think about goal difference before a game but I'm delighted with the five goals because it now means we're above Middlesbrough."
