Jol's praise for Seagulls
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Martin Jol had nothing but praise for Brighton after we squeezed through Saturday's FA Cup third round tie.
Robbie Keane's magnificent winner eight minutes from time - his 100th goal in club football - clinched the 2-1 win at the Lane.
Championship outfit Brighton performed admirably though. They the crossbar in the early exchanges, levelled Ledley King's opener two minutes into the second half, forced a fine save out of Paul Robinson and defended stoutly before we finally found the winner.
Head Coach Martin reflected: "I knew before the game that there are no walkovers in England and if you look at the other results it is no surprise that it was a difficult game for us.
"I don't think we were lucky. You are lucky when they miss a penalty or five or six chances. They did well. We knew their style of play, to pack the midfield so we needed to use the flanks.
"We tried to use the flanks but we couldn't get the ball to Stephen Kelly. We tried to go through the middle but it was too difficult for the strikers as they had three central defenders and two full-backs playing advanced but it's still five defenders.
"All credit to Brighton. I don't think we were complacent but it was difficult for us.
"We didn't play particularly well but the main thing is that we're through to the next round."
