Jol: We needed second goal
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Martin Jol was left to rue our failure to score a second goal as Palace ended our winning streak in the Barclays Premiership in Tuesday's 1-1 draw.
Few would argue - including Martin - that Palace deserved their point after creating the better chances in the first half but there was still a sense of disappointment at only drawing after Jermain Defoe cracked us into the lead during a much-improved second half display.
However, Palace's lethal weapon Andy Johnson found an equaliser out of nothing after 78 minutes and we had to settle for a draw.
Martin reflected: "Palace did well in the first half. They had a packed midfield and in spells we had problems because they had a spare man and he started all their counter-attacks.
"They had two, sometimes three attacking players who like to run with the ball, are aggressive and that also caused us problems.
"We were a bit fortunate but in the second half we changed a couple of things and put the record straight.
"From the first minute through to about the 75th minute we were terrific, maybe as good as the second half at Norwich, but it's always the same in football - you need to score two goals to get on with the game and make it easier.
"They scored out of the blue and although it's a bad draw because we should have scored more in the second half, on the other hand, they could have been up one or two nil, so over 90 minutes perhaps it's a normal result."
