John on fine double act
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
John Gorman takes a look at two or our outstanding individual performers last season - Robbie Keane and Kasey Keller.
Striker Robbie scored 13 goals after joining us from Leeds United in August including memorable strikes against Leeds, Charlton, West Brom, Birmingham City and Everton.
He continued that form for Ireland with two goals in two vital Euro 2004 qualifiers to take him to within five goals of Niall Quinn's all-time record.
At the other end, goalkeeper Kasey was outstanding despite a tough time defensively and completed the season ever-present, playing every minute if our 41 games.
"Robbie's a wonderful individual," said assistant boss John. "You've just seen him with Ireland as well - he's capable of anything.
"The thing about Robbie is he loves to play football, loves the game and he's great to have around the place.
"He has a great attitude. He wants to play and train all the time but he needs a rest now. Once he gets his rest I'm sure he'll be buzzing next season.
"Kasey made some fantastic saves and was outstanding in some games last season.
"It's a shame in some ways that we're talking about him because he's the last line of defence and he was overworked last year. Full credit to him, he handled it very well and had a great season."
