Jimmy attends school awards

Goalkeeper Jimmy Walker was a special guest at St Thomas More Catholic School's 3rd Annual Speech Night on Thursday.

Goalkeeper Jimmy Walker was a special guest at St Thomas More Catholic School's 3rd Annual Speech Night on Thursday.

The 36-year-old stopper presented awards to students alongside Olga Stanojlovic, the British Council's Director for Schools, and Dr Colm Hickey, the school's Headteacher.

The event was held to recognise and celebrate those students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement or who have made exceptional progress or effort in the last year at the Wood Green secondary school.

Many recipients have participated in some of the educational programmes run by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, including Kick and Cook and Supporter 2 Reporter.

Over 150 students were recognised on the night, and Jimmy helped present various awards including the Charles Cullen Awards for Service to the Community, the Fred Neuner Award for Outstanding Service to the Community, the Reuben Varughese Bursary Award for the Best A-Level Results (summer 2009), and the Sheila Berkery-Smith Award for Outstanding Service to St Thomas More.

Jimmy is one of the many Tottenham Hotspur players to give up their time in support of community events and initiatives over the course of the season.
