January Hotspur - out now!
Mousa Dembele is the main man in January’s Hotspur. And one reader of our popular monthly magazine will win a pair of his autographed boots in our latest free-to-enter competition.
Dembele, who arrived in the summer from Fulham, admits that the timing of his recent injury has been frustrating. But now he’s rapidly making up lost ground with a series of inspirational midfield displays.
“Yes, that wasn’t great because it was going well for me and I was adapting well to the different things I have encountered here,” he agrees.
“When you come to a new club, you obviously want to quickly prove yourself. For me, I am determined to become an important player for Spurs and to help the club to achieve an even higher level.
“I have always liked watching Spurs and every time I played against them I was impressed. It is a team working its way up to a greater standard and I made the move here because I wanted to be part of that.
“But then it is the whole footballing approach here that attracted me in the first place.
“Whenever I played for Fulham against Spurs they impressed with their whole game; their style, their energy. They always had quick players, playing good football in the way that I too like to play.”
Mousa’s fellow former Fulham team mate Clint Dempsey is also featured along with Dembele’s Belgian international Jan Vertonghen. Both talk about their early days and the road through football that has taken both to Tottenham.
We find out more about Steven Caulker and Yago Falque; Ledley King and Ossie Ardiles present their own exclusive columns; and we catch up with former players David Howells, Paul Miller and Willem Korsten.
All this and so much more. Hotspur magazine – don’t miss it!
