Jan on 'unbelievable' number one

Jan Vertonghen believes Hugo Lloris lives up to the number on the back of his jersey each and every week.
Like Hugo, Jan has been a Premier League regular for us so far in 2015-16 and has witnessed at close quarters the brilliance of our French international stopper.
With super saves against Crystal Palace and Swansea City just some of the slides on the charismatic keeper’s ever-increasing highlight reel, the defender has heaped praise on our custodian for his ability to keep opponents at bay at the drop of a hat.
“Hugo is an unbelievable goalkeeper,” said Jan, who played 90 minutes for Belgium along with Toby Alderweireld in a 3-1 win against Israel on Tuesday night to bring a successful end to his nation’s Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
“It’s difficult for him because most of the game he has nothing to do and no saves to make but then out of nothing he makes maybe the best save of his life.
“That’s why he is a number one goalkeeper.”
