Jan Vertonghen is determined to end the season in style after returning from injury and hitting the half-century milestone for us in the Premier League.
The Belgian international has now completed three matches on his return from a two-month lay-off.
The recent win against Everton marked his 50th appearance in the Premier League and he followed it up by captaining the team to a fantastic 4-0 win at Newcastle last Wednesday night.
He's now up to 73 appearances for us in all competitions since his switch from Ajax in the summer of 2012.
"It’s only my second season and I’m happy I can play so many games in the Premier League for Tottenham," said Jan, who has weighed in with seven goals in that time from his defensive berth.
"I feel good where I am now and hopefully I’ll keep going.
"I did everything to come back as quickly as possible. You have to be careful not to come back too early and I feel better and better, I thought I had a good game against Everton and that I'm getting back to my best level."
