Jamie passes character test
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Clive Allen was impressed with the character shown by Jamie O’Hara in Monday night’s reserve win against Watford.
The young midfielder was at fault for Watford’s equaliser against the run of play on the stroke of half-time at Stevenage Borough.
The 18-year-old didn’t go into hiding though. He bounced back in the second half as he and Tom Huddlestone fought it out with Watford’s more experienced pair Gavin Mahon and Jamie Hand in the central area to help turn 1-1 into a 4-1 success.
“Jamie did well,” reflected Clive. “It was a test for him because he knew he’d made a mistake and he had to forget about it in the second half.
“The good thing about Jamie is that he always wants the ball and the lads were prepared to play it into his feet, which is his strength.
“He put his disappointment behind him very quickly and that shows a strong character.”
