Jamie: Maximum points expected

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Jamie Redknapp is anticipating a comfortable England win against Azerbaijan this afternoon.

The midfielder watched England's next World Cup opponents on Saturday in their goalless draw against Northern Ireland and, bearing in mind the impressive overcoming of Wales at Old Trafford, can only see one outcome.

"I thought they played very well," said the skipper on England's 2-0 victory. "I was surprised that Wales didn't get after England, as such, but I thought England passed it well and just had too much for them.

"I thought the boys passed it ever so well, sometimes playing the three up front doesn't work but Wayne Rooney was exceptional and is just a top class player. With him, Michael Owen and Jermain up there it is a threat and they are going to cause teams so many problems."

Even bearing in mind the hype that surrounded the build-up to Saturday's game, Jamie does not expect any complacency to creep into England's game and expects the team to complete their six-point mission from the international break.

"I think they will, I saw the Azerbaijan game against Northern Ireland and, no disrespect to them, I thought they were an average side and I don't think they have the players to cause England a problem.

"I think England will have too much for them and I am expecting full points - we should have enough to beat them comfortably."

Meanwhile - and speaking from personal experience - Jamie is delighted that his cousin Frank Lampard was awarded England's opening goal against the Welsh despite a claim from Michael Owen. The ball took a diversion off the Real Madrid striker's heel on its way into the net.

"He is prolific now and I was pleased for him as I wasn't sure he would get the goal. I hit a similar shot once that his Robbie Fowler's backside and they ended up giving it to Robbie.

"I wondered whether they would give it to Michael, but I am pleased for Frank."
