Jamie: Good to be back

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Jamie Redknapp was all smiles after completing 45 minutes in his comeback game for the reserves against Fulham on Tuesday.

The club captain - absent since September 20 - played with his usual authority in the middle of the park in a closely fought first half and looked pretty sharp considering the length of time he was out of action.

"I felt okay, it was always the plan to play 45 minutes," he reported afterwards. "I enjoyed it and it was nice to be back out there playing.

"I love playing football and every chance you get is great. I thought we were a bit unlucky, but it was good to be back out there after all the problems I've had. Hopefully I can stay back out there now and time will tell."

It was a gluepot of a pitch at Woking and the swirling wind and rain hardly made it the ideal conditions for Jamie to test his fitness. However, it mattered little to the 30-year-old...

"It doesn't matter, you just want to play football and it doesn't matter what the weather is like. When you've been out for a while it doesn't matter what the pitch is like."

Jamie did admit that the first game back after an injury does provide a psychological barrier to hurdle.

"Of course there is because you are worried. You are nervous before the game because you don't want to have any problems and just want to get through the game and feel okay.

"I was a bonus here, 45 minutes, and next week hopefully I can play a bit longer. I am looking forward to that."

Spurs are 4/5 to emerge victorious in tonight's FA Cup 4th round replay, while the draw at 9/4 and a City win priced at 11/4.

Robbie Keane is the shortest priced striker to score first (4/1), with Helder Postiga at 7/1. The now free from suspension Gus Poyet is 10/1 along with Stephane Dalmat, while Michael Brown and Simon Davies are a tempting 12/1.
