Jake ready for 'the crunch'
Jake Livermore summed-up the players' thoughts going into Sunday’s Premier League finale against Fulham by stating: "These are the games we all want to play in."
Victory over the Cottagers would secure at least fourth place and mean that Arsenal would have to beat West Brom at The Hawthorns to hold onto third.
Newcastle are also still very much in the frame, a point behind in fifth, and travel to Everton. All matches kick-off at 3pm.
Jake would love to add to his 37 appearances in all competitions in his breakthrough campaign.
“The lads are confident and we’re all looking forward to putting in a big performance,” said Jake, who has featured 23 times in the Premier League this term.
“These are the games all us Tottenham players want to be involved in, fighting for a place in the Champions League.
“We know it will be a tough game. Martin Jol will have his team organised, so we’d love to get an early goal and build on that.”
Jake, 22, can reflect with pride on 2011-12. “The manager has been great with me this season,” he added.
“I’ve played in a lot of big games, both games against Manchester United, Newcastle, Liverpool and I’ve had a good season but this is the final crunch now and it would be great to be involved.”
