Jacko on big breakthrough
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Johnnie Jackson is delighted to have made his first team breakthrough at Spurs, but admits his hurt over the outcome of his two senior games so far.
The midfielder explained last week that if his recall from a successful loan spell at Coventry signalled a Premiership opportunity at Spurs it would be the realisation of a dream for him.
Now, with two first team appearances under his belt, the 21-year-old revealed that he is happy with his contribution so far but naturally disappointed with no return from the Christmas fixtures against Portsmouth and Charlton.
"I have been fairly pleased, to be honest," said Johnnie after the Charlton defeat. "The gaffer said after the Portsmouth game that I had a very good debut, but we lost.
"Against Charlton I feel, personally, that I haven't done too badly but it is not about individual players and when I'm out there I want to win as much as anyone else. It always hurts to lose, but I can take some satisfaction."
The White Hart Lane crowd took to Johnnie with his positive sorties down the left flank, support that that Academy product greatly appreciated.
"The contrast between playing home and away is good, away there is a small base of supporters while there is a greater expectation playing at home. I really enjoyed playing here and the crowd were superb to me and got behind me."
