Iversen's op agony
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Director of football David Pleat has confirmed reports that striker Steffen Iversen requires further knee surgery.
The news has come as a real setback to both the club and Iversen, who initially hoped he would return from a minor operation in time for last week's derby against Arsenal.
The Norwegian international underwent keyhole surgery to remove a section of cartilage from his knee back in November.
He was soon back on his feet at Spurs Lodge but complained of discomfort after returning to full training.
It now appears that he will need to go under the knife again to remove a cyst from behind the knee - surgery that could keep him out for another couple of months.
Iversen moaned: "It's a big disappointment. I can't see myself being ready to play again before the end of February."
Last season's top scorer with 14 goals has yet to get off the mark in the Premiership this term.
David Pleat confirmed: "The signs are that Steffen will need another operation on his knee as soon as Christmas is over. That means he might well be out for several weeks."
