Iversen's four sight

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Steffen Iversen is delighted to have rejoined the party and hand Glenn Hoddle the option of a four-pronged attack.

Our Norwegian hitman returned to Premiership action for the first time since damaging ligaments between his tiba and fibula on international duty in September in our defeat at Charlton last weekend.

But he'd soon put that disappointment behind him with his first goal of the season after coming on as a substitute in the recent 6-0 Worthington Cup rout of Bolton Wanderers.

"We need to have competition," he insisted. "We have a lot of games at this time of year and it's important that all the strikers are fit so the manager can change things around when he needs to.

"I know what it's like to be tired, when there are 10 games left until the end of the season and you feel like it should be over.

"It was great to be back, great to score and now it's about fighting for a place in the team. I'm doing the best I can in training so hopefully I get a few chances."
