Iversen under observation
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Steffen Iversen spent the night in hospital under observation after a shuddering collision with Bradford’s Andy Myers left the Norwegian hitman unconscious during the second half of Tuesday night’s clash at the Lane.
Steffen was taken off on a stretcher with his neck in brace and was taken to hospital by ambulance immediately after the game.
Glenn Hoddle eased concerns over the goalscorer’s plight, but the management are obviously taking no risks where head/neck injuries are concerned.
"He’s been taken to hospital," confirmed Glenn. "He was knocked-out. The brace was a precaution, but he’ll be staying in overnight.
"He was knocked unconscious about three weeks ago with his national team, so that’s a concern. We’ll take no chances with him and leave him in hospital overnight and see what he’s like in the morning.
"The brace was a precaution, but with that sort of injury you cover all the angles when his neck went like it did and he hit the ground very hard."
