It's the most wonderful time of the year for Hugo!

You could excuse Hugo Lloris for singing along to Andy Williams' popular Christmas song 'It's the most wonderful time of the year' - he's never lost over the festive period in Spurs colours!
No wonder the goalkeeper loves the games over Christmas and New Year as we head to Watford on New Year's Day on a run of three-successive wins in the Premier League.
"Ever since I joined the Club we’ve done well in the Christmas period," he said. "We have some tough games in front of us and I feel it’s an important period to get points, or at least not lose points against the other challengers.
"This is a very special period, we all know and we’ll try to be as consistent as possible."
Wednesday night's fine 4-1 win at Southampton drew the curtains on quite a 2016 for Hugo, the Spurs and French national team captain.
We were in the title shake-up last season and eventually finished a highest-ever third in the Premier League with our best defensive record in the Premier League era, just 35 goals conceded. Hugo started 37 of the 38 matches.
He then proudly led France to the final of the European Championships on home soil, only to lose out to Portugal.
"We were so close, both with Tottenham and the French national team," he reflected. "I feel like I've been a major actor in both campaigns with Tottenham and France and that's important for me, that’s how I live football, with passion and emotion."
