It's half-time - Harry

Harry Redknapp is quick to point out that the job is only half-done against AC Milan.

Harry Redknapp is quick to point out that the job is only half-done against AC Milan.

Peter Crouch's goal secured a 1-0 win and capped a memorable performance against the Serie A leaders in the first leg of our Champions League last 16 tie at the San Siro on Tuesday night.

Having enjoyed the better of the first half, the lads stuck to their task defensively and then caught the Italians on the break with 10 minutes left, Aaron Lennon's darting run and pass allowing 'Crouchy' to roll the ball home for one of the biggest wins in the club's history.

"It was a fantastic performance and a great night," reflected Harry. "But it's still all to play for.

"We've now got a big advantage but they still have dangerous players and we've a long way to go to get through this round.

"We've done half the job, we're half-way through. We know they're dangerous and can score goals. Both teams have players to come back for the second leg so it will be an interesting night.

"We have to make sure we finish the job off at home."

That all-important second leg is at the Lane on Wednesday, March 9.
