'It's a shame we couldn't make the difference' - Toby

Toby Alderweireld was disappointed to see the hard work of our defenders undone in the latter stages of the game at Leicester on Saturday.
Dele Alli gave us the lead nine minutes from time with his first Premier League goal, but Riyad Mahrez got loose in our box and curled into the net less than 60 seconds later as our trip to the KP Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw.
Centre-half Toby spoke of his frustration at the final outcome after we’d kept the Foxes at bay for over 80 minutes – the hosts having proved tough to break and down and sought to hit us on the counter on a handful of occasions.
“We worked very hard in the game and if you see that we went 1-0 up after about 80 minutes it’s a shame that we didn’t get the three points,” said the 26-year-old.
“As a team we worked very hard to keep the ball and their game was a bit like waiting for mistakes from us and then going forward. It’s difficult in that situation because they have Jamie Vardy up front and they can be very dangerous on the counter attack.
“In their last two games Leicester have scored a lot of goals and they had a lot of confidence, so in that respect we defended okay and I think we deserved to win.
“It’s not only about the defence, though. In every part of the pitch we have to work hard and look to improve and we will do that. It’s a shame that we couldn’t make the difference today because we wanted to take the three points."
