'It'll be a challenge for us' - Ben on Palace trip

09 January 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Ben Davies knows Crystal Palace’s players will be eager to impress their new boss in Saturday’s clash at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles last week installed Alan Pardew as manager – and he presided over a comfortable 4-0 win over non-league Dover Athletic in the FA Cup in his first game in charge.

Ahead of our return to Premier League action in south London on Saturday at 5.30pm, in what will be the former Newcastle chief’s first league game at the helm, left-back Ben says we’ll have to deal with a Palace side playing with renewed buoyancy.

“Their players will be looking to prove a point to their new manager but it’s something we’ve got to deal with and make sure we come away with three points,” said the Welsh international.

“Selhurst Park can be a difficult place to go and it’s going to be a challenge for us.

“But at the end of the day it’s another game we’re going into looking to get all three points.”
